Some people wonder what they are going to do with their free time. Am I going to go to a movie, am I going to go for a walk, am I going to stay home and just watch a good movie? Those are the kind of questions that may go thorough their heads. Not through your head though.

You know exactly what you are going to do with your free time. You are going to play a computer game. Any game, it doesn’t really matter. As long as it involves a computer and some form of passing the time, you are going to give it a shot.

If that is the case, may I suggest you give IceMania a try? This GameYard-developed application weighs in at little over 2MB. With such a lightweight download size, you should be able to download the game onto your computer in no time at all. The installation process should go along at an equally speedy pace – from launching the setup wizard I counted some 8 clicks.

The first time your run the game, you are presented with the rules:

“The board looks like a large stained-glass window that is made of square sections containing four triangles of different colors. Your goal is to form figures containing four or more triangle of the same color. To adjust the triangles you may turn the squares clockwise (click with the left mouse button). The figures you create will disappear. If you manage to remove a column, it won’t come to the board again and the score will be doubled. If all the squares of a certain color are moved off the board the scores are doubled too. “

There are three game types:
Breaker – take all the figures off the board to win.
Shaker – one new small triangle will fall into the line at the bottom immediately after you make a move or after a figure disappears.
Stormer – the line at the bottom gradually fills up with triangles that form squares. Get as many figures off the board as you can before you run out of time.
